How to use eslint in a monorepo setup?

I'm using npm workspaces and have a similar project structure like this:

root
    apps
       app1
    packages
       package1

In visual studio code I would normaly use the "eslint.workingDirectories" setting to point eslint to my package directories. For example:

"eslint.workingDirectories" : [ "./apps/app1", "./package/package1" ]

Is it somewhow possible to use this plugin in such situation?

What does this setting do? If it's available as a CLI option (something like --working-directories, I'd guess), it's possible to implement it by adding extra arguments.

Sadly it's not part of eslint but of the eslint plugin in vs code. Otherwise I could just use the eslint_ops.extra_args property to set it up.

This setting gives you the possability to narrow down the directories you want to watch in a complex project structure. You can read more baout it here. I think it would be a great feature if nvim-lsp-ts-utils could look for some local setting file and only watch directories specified there, so one could specify it on per project basis. What do you think?

Maybe you can point me to the right place and I could try to implement it myself. But I'm pretty new to all this lua and neovim stuff :)

If it's not available as a CLI option, we'll have a hard time dealing it here, since the way this plugin works is by capturing the output of a spawned eslint process. The VS Code extension uses the Node API, which is far more powerful. Something like eslint-lsp may provide more flexibility.
