OS X Character not in Range

After installing the powerline theme I am getting the following error:

.oh-my-zsh/custom/themes/powerline.zsh-theme:112: character not in range

I have no clue how to resolve this.

Well, don't expect any reactions let alone fixes from here. The last commit was three and a half years ago. So this project can be considered currently unmaintained.
