I'm sure this is probably a simple fix, but I can't seem to figure it out. Here's what my vim looks like:

vim font

I'm using Ubuntu Mono for Powerline.

The problem is that when I get this theme set up, here's what the font looks like on the command line:

terminal

I probabaly need to set something somewhere else, but I can't figure out what I'm missing.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, did you tried with another Powerline font ? Maybe this issue is similar to #6 so take a look. I'm on MacOS so I can't really test it on Ubuntu at this time.

Tried a different font and had the same issue. Bummer.

The terminal emulator must be doing something different with the patched font than Vim is... Strange.

Gnome-Terminal and Terminator both demonstrated the same behavior, so I guess I'm at a loss.

Maybe somebody that's got this to work on a linux terminal will comment and save the day!

Sorry :( Have you looked at the #6 issue ?

I had this problem, then I patched in this the Menlo font from here: https://gist.github.com/qrush/1595572#file-menlo-powerline-otf.

That immediately fixed all my problems =D.
