I'm using Typora and it support using ==this== to high light text in yellow.

It's really useful indeed for calling out specific words to focus on in a way that italics and bold cannot.

Would dearly love to see this in Jekyll Spaceship indeed.

It you think it would make sense, and don't have time to implement, I would happy to try if I could get a brief orientation as to where to start. 👌
