Invalid cypher - can not open files anymore

Dear Sirs,

I have two files (created in 2015/16) that I can not open/decrypt. It says invalid cypher.
Here is the header:

nppcrypt version="101">
encryption cipher="aes256" mode="cbc" encoding="base16" />
random iv="6ZkPzNxBEp5AMQ1ea8Uwew==" salt="XEdpoFQrEhZMybW+in1NPA==" />
key algorithm="pbkdf2" hash="md5" iterations="1000" />
/nppcrypt>

I've copied over the 1.0.1.5 dll file cause 1.0.1.6 is not backward compatible as described.

Can you please advise how to open these files?

you have the 64 bit version of notepad++ installed. sadly i don't have on 64 bit version of 1010 at hand, but you can do the following: download this 32 bit version of notepad++: -> unzip -> put the nppcrypt.dll in the folder plugins/nppcrypt (you have to create the nppcrypt folder). start notepad++.exe
