Just tried an 18.04 setup and got the following error on the "Install Security Updates" task:

Error: E:The value 'bionic-security' is invalid for APT::Default-Release as such a release is not available in the sources

Actually this isn't an 18.04 issue; I just got the same problem in 16.04:

SystemError: E:The value 'xenial-security' is invalid for APT::Default-Release as such a release is not available in the sources
