Hi,

I came across your library whilst initially searching for something that could translate HTML pages into Gopher directories. I found nothing. This library is the closest thing I can find! It just needs to support another target format.

How opposed are you to having this library support in addition to Markdown; Gopher? As in the Gopher protocol and so-called Gopher menus/directory output?

I'd like to use much of the code you have in this library with support for outputting Gopher menus in a new project I want to start that will be designed to bring a large portion of the "Web" as-is to Gopherspace without any heavy lifting or work by the authors or maintainers of those websites.

What do you think?

cheers
James

So I've started this project now... Its pretty naive and simple right now => https://github.com/prologic/webgopher

I have to figure out how to do something with links in the page and try to pretty up the text output.
