Original source of *.so files

Thanks for this great app.

I'm trying to avoid non-Free software and this app enables me to apply this to my diabetes management.

One thing I have noticed however is the absence of the source code of the files listed in this pull request (are there others?):

In various places it is mentioned that one can obtain these files by unpacking earlier versions' *.apk files, but I was wondering where these files originated from in the first place.
