Stars means I like the project, not I want to see releases.

Personal dashboard == home page, timeline, etc.: i.e. https://github.com/

This started a few weeks/months ago I believe.

E.g. today I see:

because a long time ago I starred https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-framework

But I'm not following that project in any way.

This should be opt-in instead.

Related: #410 you can already opt-in for notifications from releases. But this is about all activity only.

Even if I explicitly "ignore" notifications from a repository, I still get these release notifications in my dashboard. Do I really have to unstar repos with frequent releases to get rid of them? I agree these notifications should be opt-in, or at least respect the "Ignore" notifications setting. Thanks!
