Describe the bug
Not sure if it is a bug, copying the CID, IPFS Link, IPNS Link etc. is very slow (~5 seconds).

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open an IPFS page
  2. Click on the Companion extension icon
  3. Click on "Copy CID"
  4. Browser frozen for ~5 seconds

Expected behavior
Copying a CID (or IPFS Link, IPFS Link etc.) should be instant and shouldn't freeze the browser.

Thanks for this bug report @guillaumemichel for me the experience is as you expected (m1 mac, firefox 114.0.2), copy works instantly. Can you share the companion version you have installed? I'll have to try this on a linux box.

I am wondering if this is a firefox specific issue on arch.

I tested on Brave 1.52.122, and there the behavior is as expected (copy CID instantly).
I also tested on Librewolf 114.0.1-2, but I experienced the same issue as in Firefox (>5 seconds to copy the CID).

I am using IPFS Companion v2.22.1 in all browsers.

So it is likely that the problem comes from Firefox.
