expense invoices: possible to customize fields?

Is it possible to customize the Expense Invoice design, particularly to add expense date? In my instance I'm not invoicing for products or tasks, just expenses.

you can add custom fields which could include a date. in Settings > Custom Fields, under the expenses tab, you'll note that you can add up to 4 custom fields.

would "custom fields" that include "the" date, i.e. the built-in date field that's entered in Expenses? Those exist for my expenses, and I could copy all those to a custom field (either manually or with a SQL update). RIght now I have a give my client a second spreadsheet with the date column exposed.

A cleaner solution would make the built-in expense date field would be available, which I suspect most expense-invoicing users would like to include as a column.

@hillelcoren when the user runs a report, are the custom fields broken out by their type?

Sorry, not sure I understand? The custom fields are available in the reports.

@hillelcoren I think that answers the question, @wistlo you would need to configure the custom field and then these will show in the reports as a date type.
