newbie needs help, build fail

I have followed the instructions in the wiki page. Using a VmWare virtural machine installing Ubuntu 23.10. And step by step , copy and paste the commands in the wiki to build from source, However, I got build erros:

I don't understand the error message above, and try to clean the workspace several times, but issues are the same. Can anyone share a light on me ? I cannot access any website outside of china, so twitter or other communication channels seems not an option for me , at least now. So i tried to ask for help in this github channel.

The CMakeLists.txt of this project requris avx2 or fma. Very old laptops and VirtualBox or Vmware managed virtual machines don't support such feature. Please check cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep avx2 and cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep fma.

Thank you! It explains, the proc info shows my VM cannot support avx2 or fma. It is a pity, I don't have the required hardware or software, My vmware is version 17, I think it should not be very old, the problems should be the desktop, which is really a cheap one not good for development. I will check with other hardware once I have chance.
