etcdクラスターのブートストラップ

Kubernetesのコンポーネントはステートレスで、クラスターの状態をetcdに格納します。本実習では、3ノードのetcdクラスターをブートストラップし、高可用性と安全なリモートアクセスを実現するように構成します。

前提条件

本実習のコマンドはcontroller-0、controller-1、controller-2の各コントロールプレーン用インスタンスで実行する必要があります。gcloudコマンドを使用して各コントローラインスタンスにログインします。例:

gcloud compute ssh controller-0

tmuxを使った並列なコマンド実行

tmuxを使用すると複数のインスタンスで同時にコマンドを実行できます。前提条件のtmuxを使った並列なコマンド実行セクションを参照してください。

etcdクラスター内単一メンバーのブートストラップ

etcdバイナリーのダウンロードとインストール

etcdのGitHubプロジェクトから、公式のetcdリリースのバイナリーをダウンロードします:

wget -q --show-progress --https-only --timestamping \
  "https://github.com/etcd-io/etcd/releases/download/v3.4.15/etcd-v3.4.15-linux-amd64.tar.gz"

etcdサーバとetcdctlコマンドを展開してインストールします:

  sudo mv etcd-v3.4.15-linux-amd64/etcd* /usr/local/bin/
}

etcdサーバーの設定

  sudo mkdir -p /etc/etcd /var/lib/etcd
  sudo chmod 700 /var/lib/etcd
  sudo cp ca.pem kubernetes-key.pem kubernetes.pem /etc/etcd/
}

クライアントリクエストの処理とetcdクラスター・ピアとの通信にはインスタンスの内部IPアドレスが使用されます。以下のコマンドで現在作業中のインスタンスが持つ内部IPアドレスを取得します:

  http://metadata.google.internal/computeMetadata/v1/instance/network-interfaces/0/ip)

各etcdメンバーには、etcdクラスタ内で一意の名前を付ける必要があります。現在作業中のインスタンスが持つホスト名と一致するようにetcd名を設定します:

systemdユニットファイルetcd.serviceを作成します:

  --initial-cluster-state new \\
  --data-dir=/var/lib/etcd
Restart=on-failure
RestartSec=5

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
EOF

etcdサーバーの起動

{
  sudo systemctl daemon-reload
  sudo systemctl enable etcd
  sudo systemctl start etcd
}

上記のコマンドは各コントローラノードcontroller-0、controller-1、controller-2にて忘れずに実行してください。

検証

etcdのクラスターメンバーの一覧を表示します:
