I now have a SAS controller and a cable sitting in my office that should allow us to take four of the SAS drives and connect them to, e.g. porter. The controller could take another four drives, for a total of eight, hypothetically.

Depending on how much we trust the drives, we might do RAID 5 (OK to lose one drive) or RAID 6 (OK to lose two drives). RAID 6 is probably safer. RAID 6 with of the drives should leave us with 8 TB of capacity, probably plenty.

@matthiasdiener Grab four of the "good" drives (see #53, pink labels), move them to porter, install the controller and the cable, that should be it.
