Initial Formatting Suggestion for Course Admin/Director Calendar Toggle

Maybe it won't be a toggle at all so the name is misleading possibly.

We discussed having an area with the title of something like "Course Leadership View Options" with two options available ...

• My Teaching Activities
• All Course Activities

That second one we should discuss the naming of it. I am not sure of the control to be used since I can't find a similar one I have in mind that already exists in Ilios - could be buttons instead - assigned to myself for now to expand upon soon.

@dartajax - to make sure i'm understanding this correctly - "My Teaching Activities" will include the events that the current user is associated with as either instructor, course administrator, session administrator, or course director, but exclude all events that the current user is associated with as learner only?

My Teaching Activities is for all events for which the logged in user is the "Instructor".

All Offerings (we can discuss the verbiage) is for the other offerings to show up on the calendar as they do currently - the offerings for the courses (or possibly even sessions) for which the logged in user is course administrator or course director but are not instructor - the additional offerings in courses they oversee - the reason for this toggle is that course directors see everything and it is overwhelming - they want the functionality available to apply a "show me where I am the instructor" filter.

In my thinking on this issue it has nothing to do with learners at all - I suppose if this logged in user is a learner by chance Faculty Development or other higher level courses, those offerings would show up on their calendar like always but wouldn't be affected by this toggle.

I will put this up here so we can discuss it tomorrow. It could be even more simple possibly - if you are a course director (or administrator), do you want to see every offering in the courses you are overseeing as a director or administrator or not? If the answer is no, you would see offerings for which you are an instructor or a learner and just not see all of the other offerings in your course(s) to which you have no direct involvement other than oversight.
