Disabling soap log file stream on client

Is there a way to disable the output into the soap.log tracefile on the client? It becomes very large very quickly and thus hinders long-term running of the application. I have tried without the ReturnErrorText=True argument when instantiating the XDAClient and had a look at the OPCOperation base class but did not find something obvious.
