I don’t see a link to logs.i3wm.org. Did you follow https://i3wm.org/docs/debugging.html? (In case you actually provided a link to a logfile, please ignore me.)
I'll keep this one open since it's a persistent issue but someone needs to deep dive into telegram and find what causes it to crash.
Enabled debug logs in my machine and the main difference I could spot between a working openbox instance and a broken i3 instance is related to "Window Pos":

WebApp menu is not loading. Right part of the screen twitches as if I opened a new terminal window, but it suddenly closed.
