ssh-agent being started automatically even though not in i3's config file

Hi. I've noticed that on my Ubuntu i3 is automatically starting ssh-agent:

$ ps axjf

even though I'm not starting it explicitly thru the config file (~/.config/i3/config). Where else is i3 taking the auto-start apps from? I really want to disable ssh-agent in favour of gpg-agent.
