Request to add Organizations and User Type fields in job that pushes list of HydroShare users to MailChimp along with first name, last name and e-mail. It appears the active users lists in MailChimp are HydroShare users (full), HydroShare users (60 days) and HydroShare 30 days 2. It would be great to have these two fields added to all the active lists.

As a first outcome of tracking and storing CUAHSI community engagement data (webinar attendees, HydroShare users, etc.) in one place, we are hoping to be able to filter contacts by university and generate a report that quantifies and summarizes how a university uses and/or contributes to CUAHSI services.

We are currently using HubSpot as a one stop shop for tracking and storing this community data. Automated data syncing can be controlled with supported apps like MailChimp, Zoom and Jotform (see this link for more info on syncing process).

@abnerbog as we can add the requested fields to the export it might make sense to rethink this architecture, Mailchimp is probably not the best place to hold all the hydroshare users as payment is related to the amount of users in the database. We can probably create a new job to push directly to Hubspot.

@martinseul We have access to the HubSpot API for reading and writing to the database so I think this is a great idea ! In HubSpot the user data will be towards non-marketing contacts which we are not charged for. Question -- could we also export a Last Active Date field each time a user logs in ? We will have to make a custom property in HubSpot to map this to. I am thinking for this proposed end product with university-level reporting we will also want to specify a time range, so this column would be nice to have.
