iBeacon ranging and arbitrary iBeacon enter/exit transitions

There are two features I currently use in owntracks that don't exist in the iOS app: ibeacon ranging and ibeacon enter/exit notifications for arbitrary ibeacons.

Ranging: I've setup ibeacons around my apartment and use ibeacon ranging to determine how close/far I am from them. This allows me to (currently) listen on mqtt and calculate how close i am to the ibeacons, assuming the closet ibeacon to me is the room I'm in.

Arbitrary beacons: Right now we can tag zones in hass with ibeacon uuids. What seems not possible right now is the ability to track arbitrary ibeacons: https://www.home-assistant.io/components/owntracks/#using-owntracks-ibeacons-to-track-devices
I have a few ibeacons setup to help me with remembering position: I have an ibeacon in my car which gets marked on the owntracks map when the ibeacon disappears (car goes off), an ibeacon on my gf's purse to notify us if we walk away without it.
