Weird desktop view

I followed your guide to install i3wm with kde on arch linux.

I can't really describe what's the issue but it look like plasma desktop is part of the tiling app and fill only half of the screen?

Seems like you just moved the widget outside of the bar.

I think the problem is that you're running a panel on the side of the screen. I don't think this will work in i3...
I believe that i3 understands that window as been full screen width, and the current dock height...
If you move the dock to the top or bottom, I think it will work the way you are expecting.
