T430s with EC G7HT40WW (1.16) does not downgrade EC #248

after booting usb, the first step completes, at next reboot, there is no ec flash.
battery is plugged in. the secondary battery is at 0% (non removable)
tried
no battery (removable)
no power adapter
power adapter connected to base
connected to laptop
changed boot type from uefi to the other one and vice versa.

Did anyone manage to downgrade from this version of EC?
