Description of the issue(s)

Just an idea on Discord being documented here.

One consideration of reducing complexity in the guide was to remove all but the following applications critical to custom firmware usage:

  • Homebrew Launcher shortcut
  • FBI
  • GodMode9
  • Universal Updater(?)

This way, the guide will install the bare minimum needed to enable the user to install other applications to suit their needs separately via FBI or Universal Updater, as well as the needed functionality from GodMode9 as brick protection.

This would halve the number of downloaded applications in Finalizing Setup, while still staying true to the page's intentions, which is to install the remaining applications and actually make it seem like custom firmware does anything different than just replacing a firmware loader.
