I've just posted TopoJSON files derived from the Census Bureau TIGER/Line shapefiles. See https://github.com/znmeb/tiger-line-geojson/blob/master/README.md for the details. There are also GeoJSON files but TopoJSON files are much smaller and are designed to work with D3.js.
