Hi everyone,

the hacketyhack home page has many reports (this one for instance) from people not being able to start hacketyhack on Mac OS 10.5.8 when you click the icon it blinks and then stops, no error report nothing :-/

HacketyHack does not support PowerPC CPUs. It only runs on Intel. 10.5.8 is the last version that runs on PowerPC. To sse the error open the Console app in the Utitilities folder. Select the system.log and you will see:

[0x0-0x34034].org.hackety.hacketyhack[810]: /Applications/Hackety Hack.app/Contents/MacOS/hacketyhack-launch: line 9: ./hacketyhack-bin: Bad CPU type in executable

Can anyone from the HacketyHack dev team build a PowerPC version. My kids would love to run it on their computer.

Maybe someone smarter than us can figure it out.
