Openeclass v3.10.2 (University of Patras https://exams.eclass.upatras.gr)

We copied exercises to a new course. A question had images in the possible replies, that were stored in the local course documents. However in the new course, where the question was copied to, the images were not visible to the students who did not have access rights on the original course. However the images that were attached to the question body were not affected by this problem.

If images are in documents there is no way to modify their links in questions automatically.

Ok, but the issue is that images that are attached to answers should be attached in a way that makes the cloning of questions safe to perform.

The way it is structured now can lead to questions that have no visible answers. It has actually happened to us yesterday.

I don't understand why this is issue has been closed by @jexi

The problem is real, it can be reproduced, and it leads to a grading failure that is very cumbersome to correct. We have to manually regrade a number of tests due to this issue.

In the minimum, a warning when copying such questions would help prevent future failures.

Thanks for your comments! After some internal discussion, we'll implement the warning you mention - i.e. we'll detect if the question text references resources from other subsystems of the current course, and, if so, display this warning before copying the questions.
We can't solve this another way, since this would involve copying all referenced resources to the new course which we don't consider in scope for the exercise copy feature. For best results, if possible, try to attach images to the questions themselves.
