We should add to our documentation that Level A evidence should be restricted to evidence that would otherwise be classified as Clinical (Level B) and should not include evidence that would otherwise be Level C. Assertions can be used to gather multiple level C evidence items for a clinical interpretation. Case studies or small case series should not be promoted to level A even if sited in clinical guidelines.
