OpenCensus GC message

I'm seeing this error a lot while doing row mutations with open census on

Mar 01, 2021 3:38:28 PM io.opencensus.implcore.trace.RecordEventsSpanImpl finalize SEVERE: Span Bigtable.MutateRows is GC'ed without being ended.
