There are no mandatory uses for SS in the HVAC abstract types. It appears that run_command and run_status belong there.

We should be more clear about the use of global inheritance. From a readability standpoint, it is hard to know what the required fields are for a type that inherits from the global namespace (I'd have to locate the global definition somehow)
