Better custom formatting for Git File Blame

I would like for Git File Blame to have better formatting options. I have picked a custom annotation format of ${agoOrDate|20?} ${author|14-} in order to keep the footprint small, plus to keep information about the committer as opposed to the commit message. But I still feel like the blame pane is extremely wide and steal a lot of screen space. Could you make it possible to toggle the font; add further custom annotations (like shorter usernames) and a better way to automatically scale to the contents of the pane to fit more stuff?
