Hi, It looks like my current GTM set-up is broken.

Steps to recreate problem:

  1. Terminal into a project.
  2. gtm report -this-month.
  3. Result: report is from another project.
  4. Open Sublime Text 3 on that project.
  5. Error: "GTM error saving time. Install GTM and/or update the system path."

Expected results:

  1. Report is on that project open in Terminal.
  2. Sublime Text 3 to track time for that project.

More details:
This worked well for a couple of years until recently when I installed Visual Studio and its corresponding GTM plugin. I only had Sublime Text 3 and its corresponding GTM plugin before.

Getting a gtm report while in any project, GTM exports times from ONLY that one Visual Studio project. It doesn't matter which project I'm in, it only exports times from that new Visual Studio project.

I only noticed this now because when I open Sublime Text 3 on an older project, it reports a "GTM error saving time. Install GTM and/or update the system path."

I already reinstalled GTM and the plugin for Sublime Text 3 and uninstalled the plugin for Visual Studio without it solving this problem.

Please help.

EDIT 1: More info:
When I export a report with "gtm report -all -this-month",
it shows that GTM was tracking time on separate projects properly
from the 01 June to 23 June when I created a new project and "gtm init" on that project.

After that time,
all projects that GTM tracks are all mixed in together.

E.g. In the report, there are different projects that are mixed in together in one block of time.

I already uninstalled and reinstalled GTM and the plugins with no success.

EDIT 2: Yup, it looks like GTM is attributing times from different projects into that one new project.

EDIT 3: It looks like GTM is stuck on that one project. Image attached.

  1. "CD" to one project that is in "C:" drive,
  2. "git status" to check if git is active in that project. it is.
  3. "gtm status" and it reported 0 time.
  4. "gtm init" and it initialised in that other new project that is in "D:" drive.

gtm-error

It does look like its a simple GTM setting. I just don't know how to debug this further.
