you should only use this approach if you are using it in a html file. From your code, it seems like you are using it in react (i.e I can see the useState and useEffect at the bottom), so you are meant to use the actual framework component. Check how to use it here https://github.com/giscus/giscus-component#using-the-react-vue-svelte-or-solid-component |
