This is a great tool and I only have one problem - the syntax list to allow the linter to run is hardcoded and not in a settings file. I use Academic markdown and it is not picked up by the linter and neither are my PlainTask files not to mention.... and rather than bugging you all the time with pull requests to add my favourites, is it possible make some changes?

No worries if not, we are all busy and this may not be on your needs list

@27escape I’m personally familiar with Atom plugins, not Sublime. In Atom, this is a pretty normal feature, is it as well in Sulbime-land? If so, I’m all for it, and would you be interested in creating a PR for that?

We should prefer to add syntaxes here so it's available for everyone, but you could also add your own. See: http://www.sublimelinter.com/en/stable/linter_settings.html#selector
