I have had this idea for quite some time. However, I recently stumbled upon a profiler app that has implemented exactly this kind of navigation: https://ui.perfetto.dev/

Some questions to be solved

Which scales should the keyboard shortcut target?

It's straightforward when there's a single shared x axis as in genome browsers. But what if that's not the case?
