Maintaining the zoom settings when adding new activity unit in the pathway editor

When I use the zoom out option and then I create a new activity unit, the zoom setting is not kept and revert to the original default zoom setting. It’s make it difficult when working on a small screen on big pathways.
Would there be a way to keep the zoom settings while adding new units?
