  • PTHR ID & PTN node:
    PTN000473397 & PTN004463688 (PTHR14614)

  • Sequences with problematic annotation (ID + gene/protein name):
    e.g. fly CG17219 (FBgn0031494/Q9VQK8)

  • Type of Issue: Erroneous source or erroneous propagation, or other issue
    PTN000473397 has annotations:
    protein-L-histidine N-tele-methyltransferase activity
    peptidyl-histidine methylation, to form tele-methylhistidine

PTN004463688 has annotations:
protein-lysine N-methyltransferase activity
peptidyl-lysine methylation

Both are associated with PTHR14614, which includes 10 human proteins and 3 fly proteins - which have different methyltransferase specificities.

So it looks like the annotations to PTHR14614 either need consolidating and replaced with more general protein methyltransferase terms, or the family and annotations need splitting out?

I've removed annotation from the root and replaced it by more general parent term. Specific substrates (when available) have been restricted to the appropriate nodes.
