saving map as png

Hello! I really want to be able to loop through a stack of images, overlay a vector, and save the resulting map (centered on the polygon and at a certain zoom) as a png. Then I would take the folder of images and put each image on a powerpoint slide or markdown document (I have code for this already). I can loop through, overlay a vector, and programmatically center the map at the zoom I want. I am struggling with export though. Do you have any ideas on how I could go about doing this?

You can put the map in full screen mode, then you can use the toolbar button to save the screenshot as show below.

You can also use m.to_image("./map.png", monitor=1) to save screenshot programmatically, but you will need two monitors to do this.

In short, it can only take the screenshot of an entire screen. It can't take screenshot of just the map area if it is not in full screen mode.

I appreciate your thorough explanation regarding the jpg export functionality. Currently, I'm utilizing geemap for an exporting task. I'm curious if there are any additional functions within geemap for exporting specific sections of the map to jpg format. If not, would it be feasible to propose the inclusion of such a function into geemap? I'd like contribute such function into.

Thank you for your reply. I have noticed that page about the layer_to_image. But my goal is geting the combination jpg of several layers. And I am considering about the ipywebrtc or likely screenshot function. And another limiation is my function may only run on the colab which could have the limitation of the screenshot.

It is probably easier to export layers as GeoTIFFs and create maps using desktop GIS

Thank you very much for your advice. Currently, my main goal is to set up an automatic online image collection function, so I try to avoid using desktop operations as much as possible. Therefore, I am exploring related libraries. Thank you very much for the valuable advice. I will continue to pay attention to this excellent Geemap.
