Much like the way Brew is used for macOS dependencies, if we supported the use of Conda for dependencies on Linux, we'd be able to use much newer versions of dependencies, so that we're not packaging old potentially insecure or buggy shared libraries. I believe Conda binary packages are all built on a manylinux1-conforming ABI.
