Clicking the special characters button in the toolbar doesn't open up the palette. Instead I get the following error in my jupyter server log:

404 GET /nbextensions/jupyter_wysiwyg/ckeditor/plugins/specialchar/dialogs/lang/en.js?t=G2VC 3.92ms referer=http://localhost:8888/notebooks/workspace/editor/Introduction%20to%20Text%20and%20Document%20Formatting.ipynb

jupyter-wysiwyg version: 19.10 (Build: pypi_0)

Also, would like to know if there's a way to customize the options available in the toolbar.

Thanks.

Looks like that's a bug in what files are being packaged with the extension. I'll check in a fix and get that pushed out soon. Thank you!

As far configuring the toolbar goes, there's no easy way at the moment. But if you're comfortable editing a source file, you can find index.js in the jupyter-wysiwyg nbextension folder, and what goes in the toolbar is specified on line 42.
