We use this thread to announce code freeze on branches as and when needed. If you find this issue open and pinned on the repo, the code freeze in effect.

What is a code freeze?

A code freeze is a state of development in software engineering.

In our context, it is a time when we are not merging any pull requests without the approval of the @freeCodeCamp/dev-team. A code freeze can happen for many reasons, but the most likely reason is that we are in the middle of a significant change in the repo and want to avoid instability in the behaviour.

This limitation is usually temporary, and we expect to remove the restrictions in the next few days.

We request your patience and understanding during this period. Please reach out to contributors chat room for additional details and confirmation on the current code freeze.

Should I still make pull-requests?

Yes - Please continue to make pull requests. We would review and land them as soon as we remove the restrictions. Please treat this announcement as a heads-up of expected delays in a review.
