Agrego más sugerencias sólo porque se me ocurrieron, no tengo idea si esto sirve o tiene sentido hacerlo, hacelo si te parece nomás.

En la primera pantalla, poner los CKAN conocidos, acá hay un listado (probablemente desactualizado):
http://instances.ckan.org/config/instances.json
