Custom grid

Trying to work out how to build a custom grid for parts of my site. Do not want this to be universal? Is there a way to setup your own custom grid say of 7 columns?

Thought that this may work but it does not. Perhaps my understanding of things is a little off.

Worked out what is going on. My question in the context of Foundation does not really make sense. After a bit more research and learning come to the conclusion you can not create your own custom Foundation grids, only be able to adjust and customise the existing one.

Onwards and upwards.
