For images, it's better to now use the I do notice that you are loading very large images. Optimizing them may help as well. Lastly, you may want to try defining a smaller default image then let interchange load in the desired image. |

I have a personal site that I authored in 2019 using Foundation 6. It worked fine, including with Chrome. The site hasn't changed since then.
Recently I saw that the site has some images (using interchange) that don't load properly in Chrome. Most will load, but not the images far down the page -- as if it's a lazy-load issue of some kind. For example, if you look at this page in Chrome and scroll down, the images at the bottom of the page won't load. They do pop right up if you resize the browser window slightly. But then some images at the top of the page will disappear.
This behavior does not exist in Safari or Firefox which work fine. And, again, this is new to Chrome which worked fine with this site in 2019. I tried adding the attribute
loading="eager"
to all theimg data-interchange="..."
tags, but it didn't work. Also tried some css and js fixes suggested in StackOverflow on an issue that seemed related, but without success.Has anyone else seen this as a problem? Any suggestions on how I might fix it? Thank you very much!
