Which version of Foundation to Use for stability in a major upgrade? #12306
-
Hello everyone. We have many of our sites on Foundation 6.2.3 and are ready to upgrade and transition it to the xy grid. What is the most stable version of Foundation to use when upgrading? We are responsible for hundreds of sites, and are trying to choose carefully. The choices seem to be 6.6.3 or 6.7.3 or even 7 though that might be in beta since it's not what downloads from the foundation web site (?). Any thoughts from the contributors/developers or those have used these versions? @joeworkman , @DanielRuf @simshaun @wfehr Thanks for any input... |

@hugusj generally th elatest available release is the most stable (6.7.x). There is no work done on v7 at this time, not even a beta release afaik. Since someone (probably Joe) removed me from the org so even if I do not invest time in opensource anymore, I can not help with triaging PRs, issues and so on and the future completely depends on @joeworkman. |

I would definitely use v6.7.3. This is also the version that gets downloaded from the website. If you are getting a different version, can you let me know where you are downloading it from? I tested the link on the homepage and it does indeed download v6.7.3 |
