data-interchange does not work properly

I have an issue the using data-interchange as follows:

<img data-interchange="[/assets/umed-image-large.jpg, (default)], [/assets/umed-image-small.jpg, (small-only)]">

The first time when accessing the page, the image is loaded correctly.
If I click on a logo in the nav bar which uses the same route to the same page, the image is not displayed.

I tried it in Chrome, Firefox and Safari, - the same behaviour.

I'm using:

• ruby 2.4.0
• foundation-rails 5.5.3.2
• rails 4.2.7

You can see it when navigating to this page. Then just click on a logo image in the left-side of the navigation bar.
