The Sphinx theme uses a "+/-" button in the top level entries of the TOC to expand/collapse its sublevels (see https://beets.readthedocs.io/en/stable/guides/index.html for instance). This could be useful in readtheorg when there are so many 2nd level entries that they fill up the display, forcing one to scroll the TOC to get to another 1nd level entry.

When elements in the table of contents are clicked in readtheorg
theme, the children are toggled.
