(CIRM 2022) It would be interesting to implement computations of

the shortest saddle connection + possibly restriction on the type (ie start point and end point)
the shortest (non-trivial) closed geodesic (and more generally, computation of the k shortest homotopy classes / the ones of length < L)

More interestingly, it would be cool to design a "walker" to locate critical points of these systole functions.

Why should this be in libflatsurf and not in sage-flatsurf?
