Probably the most intuitive way is to add another button next to 'save and go to new inividual'. Add one that says 'save and go to wife's name editor'. Might need to be a new editor for that because the plain add a name screen would be a bit awkward.
I tend to have multiple instances of webtrees open at one time. This is easy on a PC. For example: After selecting “save and go to new individual”, right click the wife link in the “family” area of the new husband and open a new tab for the wife. Add her married name and then close down the new tab!
Not a new issue. It's existed in all webtrees and its predecessors for over 20 years. @Norwegian-Sardines solution has always been the best and easiest. Its not much different to what any programmed solution would do.
However, earlier versions also had a "data fix" or "batch-update" tool to find and fix the ones you might have missed called "Add missing married names". Bringing that back would be helpful.
Like described here https://www.webtrees.net/index.php/forum/help-for-release-2-1-x/38592-adding-a-husband-to-a-wife-how-to-set-marriage-name-for-wife#103168 if adding a husband to an existing wife there´s no automatism for aksing about the wif´s coming family name.
Could this be realised somehow?
Upside down work perfect - if you add a wife to a husband there are fields fpr maiden name and marriage name.
