Description

I would like to have the possibility that fireflyiii stop examing rules for one transaction when I consider that everything is done for one transaction.

Solution

Automation rules: on the definition of a new rule an additional check box that gives the possibility to stop the treatment of rules for the underlying transaction.
alternative: or multiple possible values on the existing checkbox to stop the treatment of the actual rule group

What are alternatives?

Automation - rules - definition of a new rule
Treatment values:

  • continue with next rule
  • stop treatment of this rule group
  • stop treatment of rule automation

Additional context

goal 1: speed up the data importer
goal 2: avoid duplication of triggers to eliminate the execution of a certain rule, but of course if a rule does not elaborate in all details and you re-sequence rule groups or put a rule somewhere else then this could give surprises.
