User Directory not created on Signup / access to root folder

When the function "Auto create user home dir while adding new user" is enabled in Global, the autocreate user directory works only if the account is created from Admin user management.
If we allow "Allow users to signup" then during signup, the user home dir is set to / giving him access to all the folders.

Can the signup use the same function as creating user from admin, this will resolve the issue.

If anyone has manage to solve this otherwise please let me know
